ChoiceDrop information

Cookie policy

How ChoiceDrop uses browser storage, cookieless production analytics and future advertising disclosures.

No application cookie

ChoiceDrop does not set its own HTTP cookie. The current application features use browser storage rather than an account or server-side profile.

Persistent local storage

Local storage can hold optional favourites, recent tools, theme and presentation preferences, saved lists and wheels, list metadata, no-repeat progress, pair schedules, facilitator sessions and recoverable pending outcomes. This data remains in the current browser profile until you remove it or the browser clears site data.

Temporary same-tab hand-offs

Session storage can briefly carry an opaque local collection hand-off or linked working-list reference between compatible pages in the same tab. The active facilitator-session reference remains in persistent local application storage. Neither mechanism puts roster contents into ordinary URLs, uploads them or makes them available to another visitor.

Offline files

A service worker and the browser cache store the site shell and previously visited core pages so they can work offline. Larger word and geography data is cached only after the relevant feature is opened. Browser controls can remove these files.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

The canonical production site uses a guarded third-party Cloudflare Web Analytics script without an application analytics cookie. It runs only on the online production origin and is blocked in local development, previews, continuous integration and automated browser tests. ChoiceDrop does not deliberately add names, lists or results to its requests, but a page-level third-party script is not technically isolated from same-origin browser storage; the integration relies on Cloudflare's documented service behaviour.

Advertising status

Advertising is disabled. ChoiceDrop does not currently request Google AdSense, set advertising cookies or load an advertising consent service.

If AdSense is approved, this page will be completed from the actual vendor, purpose, retention and consent configuration before adverts are served. A Google-certified consent management platform will be configured through the AdSense dashboard where required, and a visible way to reopen choices will be tested.

The current private tool origin will remain ad-free unless a separate-origin privacy boundary is approved. Programmatic limited ads will not be treated as a privacy-free fallback.

Inspect, export or clear data

Use Privacy & settings to inspect, export, import or delete all ChoiceDrop application data, and My lists to manage individual saved lists. Browser controls can also clear local storage, temporary storage, cached files and any future cookies.

Hosting

The static host may process ordinary request information for security and reliability. That infrastructure processing is separate from application storage and from the disabled advertising integration.

Edited template hand-offs

When you edit a curated template and open it in a tool, its bounded entries are held temporarily in one-use session storage in that tab. The target tool consumes and removes the hand-off. Template entries are not put in the address, uploaded or made available to another visitor.
