Privacy and fairness
What the tool does
Selections happen locally using the browser Web Crypto API. Visual motion presents an already-selected result and never secretly decides it. Optional saved data remains in this browser until you remove it.
Limitations
Use it for the right job
Boundaries, names and capitals are a general-purpose public-domain reference and can change over time. Land-area weighting is intentionally unequal and should not be described as fair per country.
ChoiceDrop does not claim “true random” results, certification or independent auditing.
Frequently asked questions
Good to know
Are all countries equally likely?
Yes in the default mode. If you choose land-area weighting, larger countries have a greater chance and the result clearly discloses that setting.
What counts as a country?
The dataset contains 195 destinations: 193 United Nations member states plus the two United Nations observer states, based on pinned Natural Earth records.
Does the globe decide where the dart lands?
No. The browser securely selects an eligible country first, then rotates the globe and presents that existing result.
