How to use it

Roll common dice or enter bounded notation

1. Choose a common die, set a custom side count, or enter notation in the form NdS with an optional modifier.
2. Check the parsed quantity, sides and modifier before rolling.
3. Read every die, subtotal and final total, then clear the local history when it is no longer useful.

Worked example

What a result means

The notation 2d6+3 rolls two six-sided dice. Results of 4 and 6 create a subtotal of 10 and a final total of 13 after the +3 modifier.

Assumptions

Check the eligible input

Standard notation describes independent dice and an arithmetic modifier. It does not include exploding dice, keep-highest rules or a particular game system’s house rules.
